Alice Hudder
In 2023, just a short time after she attended the Jazz Retreats, we lost our dear friend Alice Hudder. She was a long-time attender at the Jamey Aebersold Summer Jazz Workshops and one of the original attendees of the Jazz Retreats, including the prototype Camp Merlot in 2021. She brought positive vibes wherever she went and we loved having her at the Retreats and in our lives. Alice was a creative artist, a versatile musician, a caring and loving friend, and one of the most generous and kind humans we've ever known. We miss her dearly and will remember her forever.
We will be establishing The Alice Hudder Jazz Retreats Scholarship once we finalize the application for our 501c3 status. Alice supported education in all areas of her life, and she would love to help give others the gift of jazz in their lives.
